Loose tooth

February 7th, 2004 by John

I've got a slew of pictures that I want to put into Gallery. I figure that if it's working, I might as well use it. The problem is that I've got a few pictures of this, a few of that... not really enough to have a common theme. One thing I've noticed is that Paxton seems to be dominating the SmartCard lately. That's probably due to the fact that he wants to play with me, and Chance wants to play with the GameCube. Even though he's my son, there's only so many pictures I can take of the back of his head.

However, Chance does make the blog today since he has his first loose tooth. Well, one is really loose, and two wiggle just a bit. Before I left work Thursday, I called home. With gales of laughter going on in the background, Ginger told me they were trying to get Chance's tooth out. When I got home, I grabbed my vise grips from the garage. I went up to Chance and asked him if he still had his tooth. He showed it to me, and I pulled out the vise grips from behind my back and told him I had just the thing to help. He did laugh, but he also ran down the hall. Poor kid, never knows just when I'm pulling his chain. Heh, heh, heh.

So, in all its glory, I present The First Loose Tooth:

Paxton learned to ride his friend Becca's Hot Wheel the other day. He was really funny doing it, starting out VERY slowly, moving the levers and watching the wheels, never going more than a few feet at a time. Then he'd go a little farther, until finally he'd go flying down the driveway, skidding to a stop in front of me. Thank goodness he can't reach the pedals (yet).

And last but not least, Ginger got to go for a girl's night out to Chateau Elan (I'm not even going to try to add the accents) with her friend Ann. They're shown here, at Ann's gallery showing two weeks ago:

While they were out, Paxton and I put his new trundle bed together. I'll just let you picture how well the three-year-old helps with that in your own head!

That same weekend, Grace and Ben came over for a short visit. Grace is just possibly the most photogenic child in the universe, but I'll let you be the judge:
