Terror in the skies, again?: A scary piece. My problem with air security is common sense: why are fingernail clippers forbidden, but car keys are not? And when does awareness become paranoia? I could have sworn I've seen this story before, and Google turned up several similar stories about another incident with Pakistanti musicians from spring 2002:
Washington Post
ABC News
Lake Nyos, Cameroon: Maggie Mason nee Berry (famous among dozens) writes about this 1986 natural disaster. Here's a site that talks about what happened, and what's being done to try to prevent it from happening again.
Blake Ross wants everyone who's written positively about Firefox to put a button on their site. I'm currently working on an email to family and friends suggesting they switch, and will get a button up on the site this weekend.
Why switch? US-CERT (part of the Department of Homeland Security) says, Use a different [non-IE] browser. While the browser war might be heating up in the minds of some, I don't care about market share. I care about web security. Really.
W00t! One day, one product. Get 'em while they're hot, and check back tomorrow.
